Howard Lederer was born into in a family of 5 where he liked playing numerous card games when he was young. Howard also helped his sibling Annie Duke learn poker. Annie was a superb student of the game as she would consistently be asking questions about the right way to make the proper choice. Howard Lederer told Annie Duke to move out to Vegas and play in the World Series of Poker competition. Annie Duke is one of the best female players the poker world today. He relocated to Las Vegas in 1993 and competed in money games for the following decade. When the WPT gained popularity, he decided to compete in more tournaments.
