Poker Calculator Report: Hold em Pirate and Hold’em Hawk Barred by Poker Stars

Since the Party Poker collapse last fall, Poker Stars has surfaced as the undeniable head in absolute quantities of online poker players. They’ve the largest tournaments, the most active tables, the largest money games, and also the fastest filling up sit down and go tournaments on the net. With that comes strength – the power to select your associates, online marketers, and closer to our point; appropriate computer software.

Long have I been advocating Holdem Hawk and Holdem Pirate (they are really the exact same) poker calculators as easy to use and visibly satisfying poker calculators. Lately though, these products have pressed the boundaries of suitable use, a minimum of within the view of Poker Stars, and therefore have been banned from use on that website. This is depressing news, as a reasonable product, not unlike a number of of the suitable computer software permitted by Stars, is now practically grounded because the largest poker website on the planet thinks it’s too closely similar to an Operative Poker Calculator.

An Operative Poker Calculator is just like a secret adviser working for you, collecting and mining player facts that you may use on them later on. The factor is, you don’t have to be at the table for this to occur. The software program (database) is working all the time for you. For the majority of poker sites, that is over the line of fairness, just as in real life also.

But Holdem Pirate and Holdem Hawk are actually Empirical Poker Calculators, just the exact same as Holdem Indicator is. These varieties of poker calculators only acquire info on your opponents when you are at the table, just like you had been betting in an actual scenario.

So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here’s an actual warning I received from Poker Stars although running Hold em Pirate:

Upon an evaluation of your account, we find that you might be using an external software program recognizedas Poker Sherlock, or its related programs, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Holdem Hawk and Holdem Pirate……PokerStars shall be permitted to take such action as it sees fit, such as instantly preventing entry to the Games to such User, terminating such User’s account with PokerStars and seizing all monies held in the relevant Poker Stars "actual cash account".

Hey, did you notice the "confiscating all money" line? That’s what you may do when you are this big!

The "related applications" is the origin of the problem. The business that created Hawk and Pirate also produce Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. In fact, I think that Stars suspects Hawk and Pirate actually mine data for these related products, while looking like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.

So therein sits the root of the problem. When you happen to bet on on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you’re out of luck, as I have tried to change this ruling. I got a polite response from the personnel at Poker Stars, but genuinely, it’s not likely to alter. The excellent news though is that Holdem Indicator has been added to Poker Stars acceptable software list, and it’s the only empirical calculator to be approved by them.
