NL Holdem Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer grew up in a family of 5 where he loved playing numerous card games at a young age. He found himself getting really competitive in these particular card games as he was playing his father. After graduating from Sr. High school, Howard decided to place higher education on hold for a little while and headed to New York to compete in some serious chess. While competing in chess, he was brought in to a poker game going on in the back of the room. Howard’s first 2 years were tough as he played extensive hours and don’t win most times. He made some additional money by being an assistant for the poker enthusiasts. He theorized he might improve his game by analyzing his life outside of poker. He brought about an effort to get more rest and focus more on poker.

The actual advancement in his game happened when he started gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the best players would regularly challenge one another. Howard was able to access some of the greatest players in chess. With their assistance, he would tweak his cunning thinking skills. Howard used these strategic concepts in the game of NL Texas Holdem.

Howard also assisted his sibling Annie Duke learn the game of poker. Annie was a superb student of the game as she constantly asked questions about the right way to make the proper choice. Howard told Annie Duke to move out to Las Vegas and play in the World Series of Poker tournaments. Annie is one of the strongest women players the poker arena ever. Howard Lederer moved to Sin City in 1993 and participated in money games for the successive decade. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, Howard made the decision to play more tournaments.
