Newcomer Schemes for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the wild west in a fantastic game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about any other, more skillful gamblers taking their money.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, rookies will be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make frenzied selections.

It is also easier to play for a long time with basically a tiny amount of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands needs to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards faces showing and the casino is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
